Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mom/Baby unit to deliver direct patient care to new mothers and newborns in a hospital setting. This role focuses on postpartum/couplet care and requires solid nursing experience.

Responsibilities include monitoring mothers and babies, educating families on newborn care and breastfeeding, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and lactation consultants.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• NRP and STABLE certifications typically required or phased in shortly after hire.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Monitor the health, vital signs, and recovery progress of postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Provide comprehensive couplet care (mother and baby together).
• Educate families on newborn care, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding techniques.
• Administer medications, perform clinical assessments, and document care in electronic systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Education

Registered Nurse licensure (TX or compact)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

NRP / STABLE certification (preferred)

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). Additional unit certifications like NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and S.T.A.B.L.E. are typically required or phased in shortly after hire.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
