Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Missouri is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse (RN) for the Minimally Invasive PCU/IMU. This full-time role offers days and nights and welcomes experienced RNs and new graduates.

Eligible sign-on bonus up to $15,000 supports a rewarding surgical and progressive care nursing environment. The unit cares for post-operative and intermediate care patients in a Bariatric Center of Excellence, with strong leadership and opportunities to grow clinically in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities
