Base pay range

$48.00/hr - $53.00/hr

Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele

Location: Concord, NC

Duration: 13-Week Contract Assignment

Schedule: (12*3) Days/Nights; 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Pay Range: Days $48 - $50 / Nights $50 - $53 Hourly (DOE)

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and cardiac drips per physician orders.
• Provide post-operative care, wound care, and manage drains/tubes (e.g., Foley, JP, PEG, NGT).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, CNAs, respiratory therapists, and case management.
• Document all patient care using the facility's electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• May float to other units as needed, within scope of practice.
  
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Strong IV and medication administration skills, including drips (e.g., Diltiazem, Heparin).
• Skilled in post-op care and orthopedic nursing.
• Ability to manage high patient volumes and acuity levels.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice (or compact state license).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EPIC EMR.
• Strong telemetry and stroke care experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience.
