Role Description

Medical Surgical care involves caring for patients who aren’t well enough to go home but don’t require specialized care. Responsibilities include inserting Foley catheters, NG tubes, starting IVs, changing wound dressings, and passing medications. Patients may include post-op, diabetics, bariatric surgery, detox, psych, cancer, orthopedic, heart disease, and emphysema. This is often the last stop before patient discharge.

Minimum Requirements

• Proper License/Certification
• At least 2 years of recent professional experience
• At least 1 year of recent experience in applicable specialty
• Current license to work in Pennsylvania
