Job summary

Horizon Health in Paris, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients across a 25-bed unit with on-site provider coverage 24/7. The RN will administer medications, manage IV therapy, and communicate care plans to families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Associate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree, or Diploma School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Illinois (in progress acceptable).
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Three years of experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Administer medications following policy and judgement.
• Initiate and manage IV therapy as needed.
• Communicate changes in patient status to charge nurse/manager.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and hospital infection control standards.

Education

Graduate from an associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or diploma school of nursing.

Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois.

Current BLS is required.

ACLS certification is preferred.

Minimum of three years’ experience is preferred but not required.
