Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse functions within organizational policies and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. Responsibilities include maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities to ensure quality nursing care.

• Patient ratios vary based on volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may require adjustments.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduate of a nursing program
• Experience: New graduates eligible; one year of hospital nursing experience required for PRN positions
