Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (FT) at Piedmont Columbus Northside in Georgia. This role coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care across the birth through lifecycle spectrum and leads staff on shift, ensuring effective communication with leaders and teams.

The ideal candidate has a valid Georgia RN license, BCLS, ACLS, PALS and related certifications, with at least 1 year of hospital nursing experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting (Required).
• 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred).
• RN licensure in Georgia (or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure) (Required).
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS and related certifications (Required).
• ACLS/PALS certifications for specialty units may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
• ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) Required
• PALS Certification (Emergency Department) Required
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification - prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology) Required
• NRP by the end of orientation period (Women's Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) Required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year Required
• PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital) Required
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
• ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department) Required
• ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
• Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification within 30 Days
