Job summary

Piedmont Columbus NorthSide is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse to coordinate quality nursing care for patients across the lifecycle. You will communicate with leadership and staff to ensure smooth operations during shifts and provide clinical care as needed when census demands.

The role requires RN licensure (GA/NLC), BCLS, ACLS and PALS with additional certifications as applicable. This position is hospital-based and in a fast-paced environment at Piedmont Columbus NorthSide.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
• 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• RN licensure (Georgia multistate/compact or state-specific) required; BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and specialty certifications encouraged/required as specified.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required; NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring training within 12 months as applicable.

• ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) Required
• PALS Certification (Emergency Department) Required
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification - prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology) Required
• NRP by the end of orientation period (Women's Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) Required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year Required
• PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital) Required
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
• ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department) Required
• ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
• Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification within 30 Days
