Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit will provide direct patient care, support patient needs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and documenting care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions according to protocols.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) therapy.
• Document patient care and progress in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience

Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license and have previous experience in a medical-surgical setting.

Certifications/Licensure

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of South Dakota is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
