Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract in Texas. The role is in a Medical/Surgical unit with a 7 PM to 7 AM night shift. The RN will independently provide routine and complex care, manage contingencies, and support patient education and safety.

Required: Texas RN licensure (or compact state), BLS (AHA), and 1 year of related nursing experience preferred. BSN preferred. ARMStaffing offers comprehensive benefits and travel support.

Job Description

The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. This role involves providing routine and complex care while managing contingencies in clinical nursing, and is responsible for making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments according to protocols; monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given accurately.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification (AHA only).
• Valid RN License in the state of Texas or Compact state.
