Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident to provide patient care in Medical Telemetry. The role uses the nursing process and supports Mercy Service Standards, with a full-time night shift (12 hours: 7:00pm–7:30am).

Incentives include sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 for Experienced RNs and up to $7,500 for New RNs, no contract required, and bridging programs to obtain BSN/MSN.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: BLS certification through AHA or within 30 days of hire.
• Physical requirements: push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing/walking; reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat.

Department: Medical Telemetry

Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00pm - 7:30am)

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.

• Other:Physical requirements/demands:

  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.

  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
