Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide evidence-based nursing care at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. This role emphasizes patient safety, compassionate care, and collaboration with the care team.

Candidates must hold a New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR certification, and have at least six months of nursing experience or participate in the Nurse Residency program. BSN in progress is acceptable with a plan to complete within three years.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or active participant in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, teamwork, ongoing education, and patient-focused care are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to up-to-date evidence-based practice and standards of care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and the health care team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safety.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations in the EHR.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transitions of care.
