Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is hiring Registered Nurses for the Medical Surgical Unit in Maine. Sign-on bonuses are available: $20,000 for RNs with 2+ years' experience and $10,000 for new graduates. Pay ranges from $36.00 to $49.16 per hour.

This full‑time night shift role emphasizes safe, compassionate, patient‑centered care within a collaborative team. Applicants must hold a current RN license, BLS; ACLS is preferred. Experience in acute care and ventilator management is valued.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient‑centered nursing care.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
