Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is hiring Registered Nurses for the Medical-Surgical Unit on nights. Sign-on bonuses up to $20,000 for experienced RNs and $10,000 for new graduates are available.

Pay ranges from $36.00 to $49.16 per hour, with a full-time night-shift schedule and a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants should have an active RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days (preferred), and prior acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and keep current (preferred).
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products per orders.
• Coordinate with physicians and interprofessional team.
• Assist with procedures and patient stabilization.
• Operate clinical equipment for assigned department.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and discharge plans.
• Document accurately in the EMR.
• Promote safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
