Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an RN for the Medical ICU in Naperville, IL. This full-time night-shift role runs 7:00pm to 7:30am with rotating weekends and holidays. Prior CCU/ICU nursing experience and Illinois RN licensure are required, along with CPR and ACLS within six months of start date.

Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing is required; ADN holders should complete BSN within five years. This position offers competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities within a large, multi-hospital system.

• 2 years of RN critical care experience
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure
• CPR certification by American Heart Association and ACLS within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care per Illinois RN Practice Act and hospital policies
• Assesss patients, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress and document observations
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff
• Work as a team member to achieve unit goals

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

What you will need

• Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
• Required Education, Skills and/or Experience: 2 years of RN critical care experience
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.
• Required License and/or Certification: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
• BLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six months of start date into position

• Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
