Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking an RN for the Medical Group to support physicians and coordinate patient care. This non-exempt, onsite role requires nursing judgment and adherence to clinical protocols within a collaborative healthcare team.

You will manage patient care for a defined group, ensure accurate documentation, and work with providers to maintain continuity of care. On-call is required; weekend work is not scheduled.

Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience
• Active Florida RN license
• BSN preferred or higher education in nursing

Responsibilities

• Support the physician's office healthcare team
• Independently manage a group of patients using the nursing process
• Apply clinical standards and established protocols to support patient care needs
• Collaborate with providers and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care

Facility: BayCare Health System, Tampa / Cardiovascular Surgery

Shift: Days | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite

Status: Non-Exempt

Weekend Work: None

On Call: Yes

Remote Work: Not eligible (Onsite only)

Role Overview

As an RN - Medical Group, you will support the physician's office healthcare team by utilizing the nursing process, clinical standards, and established protocols to help manage and coordinate patient care. This position requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and the ability to work independently while supporting providers and other members of the healthcare team.

Education

• Required: Technical Degree in Nursing OR
• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Experience

• Required: One (1) year of Nursing experience
• Preferred: One (1) year of Medical Office experience

Licensure / Certification

• Required: Active Florida RN License
