Job summary

AdventHealth in Orange City, FL is seeking an experienced RN for full-time night weekend shifts to provide holistic patient care across multiple disciplines.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, coordinate with the care team, document accurately, monitor outcomes, and uphold infection control and safety protocols while supporting continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) required.
• Basic computer skills required (Windows).
• 1+ year in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocol.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff and departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and interventions to improve patient health outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare team members.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond promptly to code situations and intervene to stabilize patients.
