Job summary

AdventHealth in Palm Coast, Florida is seeking an experienced RN to join our Night shift team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience is preferred.
• RN license and BLS certification required; additional state credentials may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physical, psychological, developmental and spiritual aspects.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with regular evaluation and revision.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes.
• Ensure infection control, safety and regulatory compliance in the unit.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care, participate in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
