Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry unit on a 12-hour day shift (7:00 am - 7:30 pm) under a temporary internal registry. The assignment lasts approximately 12 weeks with potential extension based on staffing needs.

You will provide direct patient care, monitor cardiac rhythms, and collaborate with physicians. Requirements include RN license, BLS, ACLS, and telemetry/acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within Telemetry Unit scope.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
