Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Tele Float Pool (Nights) in the Northern Region. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required (ASN).
• BSN or completion of BSN within 3 years of hire strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4 years' RN experience in a Med Surg setting.
• Must be currently working in a Med Surg Unit.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families/designated care partner(s), and staff consistent with Jefferson's values.
• Integrates evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, patients, and their preferences for optimal care.
• Partners with patients and families in identifying learning needs and providing education in understandable ways.
• Minimizes risk of harm by following established nursing practices and protocols.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support ethical decisions.
• Uses data to monitor outcomes and designs improvements to enhance quality and safety of care.
• Functions within nursing and inter-professional teams to provide safe, compassionate care.
• Recognizes and respects patients' values and preferences in care.
• Creates an environment of belonging with problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrates commitment to learning and participates in committees for safety and quality.
• Float to all Intensive Care Units within the Central & Eastern Region.
