Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit at The Jewish Hospital. The role will staff a swing unit when open and float to other units when needed, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend shifts.

The RN will collaborate with the care team, assess patients, develop and adjust care plans, and ensure safe, high-quality care. Licensure as an RN and BLS/ACLS are required or strongly preferred; 1 year of RN experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, ACLS required within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.

Education

Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
