Job summary

Southcoast Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Unit at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. The 32-hour per week position operates on the night shift (11:15pm–7:15am) with weekend and holiday rotations.

The SK3 unit is a 21-bed surgical area specializing in bariatric, orthopedic, general, gynecology and plastic surgery care, with telemetry monitoring and a strong multidisciplinary team approach.

Qualifications

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family teaching.
• Minimum: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• Experience: 3 months to 1 year preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or Designee, coordinate total nursing care for patients and provide leadership on the unit.
• Care for a 21-bed surgical unit (SK3) with telemetry monitoring, serving Bariatric, Orthopedic, General, Gynecology and Plastic surgery patients.

We are searching for a talented RN for the Med/Surg Unit

Hours: 32hrs

Shift: Night shift, 11:15pm - 7:15am with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA

SK3 is a21 bed surgical unit specializing in the care ofpost-operative patients.The patient population includes patients undergoing Bariatric surgery, Orthopedic surgery,General surgery,Gyn surgery, andPlastic surgery. SK3 prides itself in providing excellent patient care using a multidisciplinary approach. We also provide Telemetry monitoring.

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or Designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patient regularly, served.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Over three months up to and including one year experience is preferred.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
