Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 9A Medical-Surgical unit. This fast‑paced unit serves medically complex patients with a patient load consisting of adults and the elderly, with a 1:5 nurse–patient ratio and 24 private beds.

The ideal candidate provides comprehensive nursing care, adheres to safety standards, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for external applicants with a 3‑year commitment.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) - IL
• Education: HS Diploma/GED; Associate's Degree

Responsibilities

• Performs RN duties on 9A Medical-Surgical unit including assessments and care planning.
• Administers medications, interprets vitals, and ensures safe patient care.
• Delivers patient education and collaborates with care team to coordinate care.
• Maintains accurate documentation and participates in shift handoffs.
