Job summary

Corewell Health's 8N Dearborn Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to join a 28-bed med/surg unit with a renal focus. You will provide professional nursing care on nights, collaborating with nephrologists, social workers, case managers and dietitians to support patient-family partnerships.

Required: Associate in Nursing; MI RN license; BLS on hire and ACLS within 6 months; Bachelor's in Nursing within 5 years; ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

Associates in Nursing Required
Bachelor in Nursing Required within 5 years
Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years in a licensed health care role and must have passed the NCLEX
MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required upon hire
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
1 year of ICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and patient-family centered care.
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge following Corewell Health policies.
Document education and learning in the health record and develop teaching strategies for patients/families.
