Job summary

Corewell Health’s 8N renal-focused med/surg unit in Dearborn seeks a dedicated RN to provide high-quality nursing care on a 36-hour weekly night schedule. You will collaborate with nephrology, social work, dietitians, and case management to optimize patient outcomes and family-centered care.

Requirements include an Associate’s in Nursing, RN licensure in Michigan, and BLS. A bachelor’s degree is preferred within five years, with opportunities for specialty certification within two years.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Graduates from a non-accredited school must have at least 1 year of acute care experience or 2 years in a licensed health care role and must have passed the NCLEX.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and patient-family centered care principles.
• Collaborate with Nurse Leader and multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Develop teaching strategies for patient and family education; document education in health record.
