Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license.

• Basic Life Support certification within three months of date of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within twelve months of date of hire.
• Takes responsibility for pursuit of continuing education.
• No experience required other than during formal education process.

Responsibilities

• Completes admission assessments and documentation.
• Initiates and individualizes care plans on admission.
• Reviews care plan per policy and educates patient/family.
• Keeps practitioner/charge nurse informed of change in patient condition.
• Organizes and responds to patient care needs and call lights promptly.
• Provides age-appropriate care and functions in emergencies.
