Job summary

Jimmy Jazz is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our full-time clinical team in Harlan, IA. The RN will apply the nursing process to deliver direct patient care, perform admissions, and provide patient and family teaching in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires Iowa RN licensure, a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and BLS/ACLS certification; TNCC/PALS/NRB are preferred. ER or Med/Surg experience is required, with weekend rotation and varied weekday hours as described in

Responsibilities

Description

SCHEDULE: Full-time; 36 hours per week; 11:00 am - 11:00 pm; Weekdays will vary; Every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

The RN utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care. He/she directs and provides patient/family teaching. The RN provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Requirements

Previous ER or Med/Surg experience required. Current Iowa license. Graduate from an approved professional Nursing Program. BLS and ACLS required. TNCC preferred. PALS Preferred. NRB preferred. Takes responsibility for pursuit of continuing education.

Summary

The RN completes admission assessments and documentation. Appropriate assessments/reassessments completed with documentation. Initiates and individualizes care plans on admission.
