Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical: Post-Surgical/Ortho unit on a full-time basis. The role requires BSN preparation within 5 years, Michigan RN licensure, and ability to lead nursing care planning and patient education.

The nurse will coordinate and deliver high-quality care using the nursing process, document and communicate with the health-care team, and support a patient-centered care environment in a Magnet-designated hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Enrollment in BSN within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
