Job summary

Henry Ford Health - Jackson Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse in a Surgical Services Operating Room. The role focuses on coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes.

You will delegate and document care for patients and families, communicate with the healthcare team, and participate in solutions to variances from patient goals. A BSN is preferred and current Michigan RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred. Candidates with an ADN must enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of start date.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
• Minimum of 1.5-2 years of operating room circulating experience for contingent positions.
• Trauma Level I or II experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families.
• Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
