Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care in a busy acute care setting. You will lead and support a diverse healthcare team, upholding Service Excellence and clinical standards with direct supervision of staff.

The role requires current Nevada RN licensure and BLS; pediatric/neonatal certifications (PALS/NRP) may be required by department. BSN preferred, with opportunities for growth within The Valley Health System.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
