Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN seeks a Registered Nurse for the 4th Floor Ortho Spine unit at Southdale Hospital. This 26-bed unit focuses on total joint replacements and spinal surgeries, fostering a collaborative, patient-centered culture with strong teamwork.

The schedule is 60 hours every two weeks on 12-hour day shifts (7am–7:30pm) with every third weekend, and duties include assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care in line with the MN Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• MN Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborate with patient, family and health team to develop an integrated plan of care.

This 26-bed adult medical/surgical unit focuses on patients undergoing total joint replacements and spinal surgeries. Schedule: This position is 60 hours every two weeks on days,12-hour shifts (7am – 7:30pm) with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)

Required Qualifications

• MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
