Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical unit in Youngstown, OH. The RN delivers care within a multidisciplinary team using the nursing process, maintaining patient safety, teaching patients and families, and coordinating with other departments.

The position features 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am–7:30 pm), full-time hours, and an excellent benefits package. Prior RN experience and Ohio licensure are required or eligible for compact licensure.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience required; will consider new grads with <1 year.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Licensure: RN in state or compact.
• BLS preferred on hire; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS; various certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications safely per policy and state rules.
• Develop and maintain nursing care plans; educate patients and families.
