Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg/Ortho, a full-time day shift with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support education and care planning for diverse patients.

Ideal candidates hold an TX RN license, ADN with BSN within 24 months, and BLS certification; one year of acute care experience is preferred, with ortho experience valued. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• RN qualification per state requirements (TX)
• Education pathway: ADN acceptable, BSN required within 24 months
• Active RN license TX or compact
• BLS from AHA or Red Cross
• Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience
• Ortho experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health needs and plan individualized nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Implement care within RN scope and regulatory guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and care.
• Coordinate with care team to manage multiple patients and priorities.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care as needed.
• Apply critical thinking to analyze clinical data and literature for decisions.
