Job summary

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 1E Med-Surg/Observation Unit. This role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care with collaboration across the care team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 20 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly
• One year RN experience

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records and clinical data
• Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome; develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrate competency in therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections; maintain patient charts and records
• Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes; use information systems to communicate and support decision-making
• Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect health and safety and rights of each patient; provide teaching to patient/family and assess learning readiness
