Job summary

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 1E Med-Surg/Observation Unit. You will collaborate with the health care team to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and to promote patient safety and quality care.

The role requires active RN license, Associate Degree in Nursing or higher, and at least one year of RN experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. This fast-paced, mission-driven environment offers growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
• Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly
• One year RN experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome; develop and implement patient plan of care.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including IVs, wound care, medications, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in charting; use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote and advocate for patient safety and rights; educate patient/family.
• Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.
