Mercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie, OK, seeks a Registered Nurse (Non-Exempt) for the Med/Surg unit. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with nights (7pm–7am) and rotating weekends/holidays. A $15,000 sign-on for new grads and up to $20,000 for experienced nurses is available.

The unit supports patients with a 5:1 patient/nurse ratio, and Mercy emphasizes teamwork, compassionate care, and collaboration with therapy services to promote recovery."

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Able to push/pull/lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
• ACLS and BLS certification (or cert within 30 days) and other required certifications.

Responsabilités

• Provide care for Observation, Inpatient and Swing patients on Med/Surg.
• Collaborate with Therapy to coordinate, high-quality care.
• Maintain patient-nurse ratios around 5:1 and ensure safety on nights.

Mercy Hospital Logan County is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Guthrie, Oklahoma providing care to Observation, Inpatient and Swing patients. Our unit Patient/Nurse ratio is 5:1. Nursing staff work closely with the Therapy department to provide coordinated, excellent care to facilitate the highest level of return to pre-hospitalization lifestyle.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Required Certifications (training provided by Mercy during the orientation period if not already certified):
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
