Job summary

Mercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie, OK is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit. This full-time, nights position offers a 36-hour work week, rotating weekends and holidays, and a 7pm–7am shift. A sign-on bonus is available for new grads and experienced nurses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk during shift.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (or completed within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg patients.
• Collaborate with Therapy and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Required Certifications (training provided by Mercy during the orientation period if not already certified):
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
