Job summary

Mercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie, OK is hiring a Registered Nurse (Non-Exempt) for the Med/Surg unit. This full-time role (36 hours per week) covers night shifts from 7pm to 7am with rotating weekends and holidays.

A generous sign-on bonus of $15,000 for new grads and up to $20,000 for experienced nurses is offered. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited RN program and current RN licensure in the hiring state or a compact license.

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• RN license current in hiring state and/or compact licensure as required.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing/walking.
• ACLS and BLS certifications or completion within required timeframe.

Mercy Hospital Logan County is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Guthrie, Oklahoma providing care to Observation, Inpatient and Swing patients. Our unit Patient/Nurse ratio is 5:1. Nursing staff work closely with the Therapy department to provide coordinated, excellent care to facilitate the highest level of return to pre-hospitalization lifestyle.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Required Certifications (training provided by Mercy during the orientation period if not already certified):
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
