Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical care at the Pocono Creek neighborhood hospital. This full-time night-shift position provides skilled nursing care, assessments, planning and coordination with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes.

You will lead care delivery, educate patients and families, and participate in performance improvement activities while maintaining nursing competencies and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
• RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and manages the care of designated patients with effective communication.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team to resolve patient needs.
• Coordinates patient and family education throughout treatment and transitions of care.
• Performs validated technical skills and uses technology to optimize care delivery.
