Job summary

Lutheran Downtown Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time Telemetry RN to provide patient-centered care on the night shift. The RN will coordinate nursing activities, administer medications, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, documentation, patient and family education, and adherence to infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• RN licensed in the state (or Compact) required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP often preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care using nursing process.
• Document findings and communicate changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform procedures within competency and assist physicians.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge steps.
