Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure (state) required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred per unit guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing processes and hospital policies.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency limits.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Assures infection control protocols and patient safety standards are followed.
• Operates and monitors medical equipment (IV pumps, monitors, ventilators) as needed.
