Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit to provide high-quality nursing care across the care continuum. The department operates 24/7, and scheduling includes night shifts with 36 hours per week.

The RN is accountable to the Ohio Board of Nursing and collaborates with LPNs and UAPs. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, with leadership in process improvement and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in nursing; BSN required after 5 years of employment.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification required by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis: conduct initial and ongoing health status assessments.
• Outcomes Identification/Planning: document planned nursing interventions.
• Implementation/Evaluation: execute and reevaluate nursing care and revise plans as needed.
• Leadership: participate in quality/process improvement activities.
• Operations: ensure safe, efficient care within the 24/7 department.
