Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical unit. You will work with physicians and the care team to ensure compassionate, evidence-based nursing aligned with state standards and organizational values.

Responsibilities include assessing patients at admission and during shifts, administering medications, documenting care, and educating families about treatment plans and follow-up steps.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• Bachelors degree in nursing or higher required
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• BLS/ACLS certification within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during shifts, report changes promptly
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic responses
• Provide timely, empathetic care and respond to patient requests
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
