Job summary

Medical City Frisco is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN Med Surg to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will collaborate with providers and the care team, following established nursing models to advocate for patients and ensure excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, medication administration, timely documentation, prompt patient requests handling, and educating patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up

Qualifications

• RN license required to practice as a registered nurse.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
• One year of nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and each shift, report changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and document care in the medical record.
• Provide timely, compassionate patient care and respond to requests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
