Job summary

Glenwood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Surgical RN to direct, plan, and organize nursing activities on the Med Surg unit, focusing on patient, physician, and staff needs. The successful candidate will hold a valid Louisiana nursing license, be BLS certified, and have prior clinical nursing experience; graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

You will collaborate with the medical staff to deliver high-quality care and participate in unit-based quality improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Louisiana Nursing License in good standing.
• BLS certification is required.
• Previous clinical nursing experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and organize nursing activities on the Med Surg unit with a focus on patient, physician and staff needs.
• Support medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff and in line with hospital mission and objectives.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Medical Surgical RN is responsible and accountable for directing, planning, and organizing the nursing activities on the Med Surg unit with a focus on patient, physician and staff needs. The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Louisiana Nursing License in good standing
• Previous clinical nursing experience is desired.
• BLS required.
