Job summary

SENTARA MARTHA JEFFERSON HOSPITAL in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for a hospital float position with med/surg and stepdown experience. This is a 14-week travel assignment in a day shift.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in hospital settings (med/surg, telemetry, IMCU), a Virginia RN license, and current ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in a hospital setting (med/surg, telemetry and IMCU).
• Current Virginia RN license to practice.
• Valid ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications/licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assess/admit patients and perform rounds.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status.
• Provide family teaching and care coordination.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
