Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg General Surgery 3W unit at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. The full-time position covers 36 hours per week with the shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, offering a sign-on bonus for new grads and competitive benefits.

Requirements include MO RN licensure (or compact), BLS, and hospital experience preferred. BSN is a plus; additional state licensure or specialty certifications are welcome.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or possess compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA, or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Evaluates care effectiveness provided by other direct care givers and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information in accordance with Mercy standards.
