Job summary

Essentia Health’s St. Mary’s Hospital in Superior, Wisconsin is seeking a registered nurse for the MED SURG - SMHS HOSP unit. You will deliver patient-centered care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation with a collaborative team.

This role offers rotating 8-hour shifts, day/evening coverage, and a 0.8 FTE schedule. Competitive compensation ($45.03–$68.87/hr) with comprehensive benefits and up‑to $7,500 ADN or $10,000 BSN hiring incentives for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.

Education Qualifications:

Responsible for organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

This position will work the following:

• 64 hours per 2 weeks
• Every Other Weekend
• Rotating 8 Hour Shifts
• Day Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM
• Evening Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) and up to $10,000 (BSN)

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire
