Job summary

Job description

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Medical/Surgical setting. Communicates with physicians, leadership, and co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Education and Experience

Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or an approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act is required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required. BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program is preferred.

Other Credentials / Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and the Military Training Network.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification is required within 6 months of hire.
  • For those working in a charge role: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
  • For those working in a charge role: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
