Job summary

Bryan College Of Health Sciences in Nebraska seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Medical/Surgical setting, collaborating with physicians and leadership to monitor patient status and diagnostic results.

You will respond quickly to changes in condition, perform general nursing duties under supervision, and help ensure safe, high-quality care across all departments.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Nebraska or approved compact state as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN or current enrollment in BSN program preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire for charge roles.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire for charge roles.

Job description

Summary

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Medical/Surgical setting. Communicates with physicians, leadership, and co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Education and Experience

Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN or current enrollment in BSN program preferred.

Other Credentials / Certifications

Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification required within 6 months of hire.

For those working in a charge role: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

For those working in a charge role: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
